public update...

well i am now working with FEMA in the call center/morgue department...we are helping to locate missing family members and loved ones through out data bases and it has only been setup less than one week and already we have located through combined efforts almost 30 missing people...i know to some of you who may be reading this that is not a lot of people but it makes me feel good to know that their family members can sleep at night knowing that they have FINALLY found out that their missing ones are alive and well...it breaks my heart the people who call in crying not knowing what direction to turn to to even begin looking for those that are missing...the fear that grips them is echoed in their voices and mostly in their hearts as their tears cry out in desparation...it is truly one of the hardest jobs i have ever had...

yesterday i managed to locate an entire family who was staying in a shelter in mississippi and it was only because these data bases are now set up and being set up and in place and it seems to be working...it is our hope that as the information gets out and the public are aware that we are here to help them more and more people will be found and reunited with their loved ones...
